RO STUDIO / ROBLOX CREATOR GUIDE

Roblox Avatar GFX for a game thumbnail

Use a real Avatar preview or an image you control as the subject, then build the surrounding thumbnail without hiding where each asset came from.

Choose an allowed character source

Load a public Avatar preview by Roblox username or upload an image you own or have permission to use. A public preview is useful context, but it does not grant an asset license or permission to redistribute somebody else’s work.

Compose the subject in 2D

The current browser editor frames transparent or rectangular character images, adjusts their scale and placement, combines them with a background, and adds editable text. Its framing presets are composition controls rather than named joint poses.

Use references with optional AI generation

You can pair the character source with up to eight owned reference images and a short scene brief. The automatic generation service creates reviewable directions from those selected inputs; the service chooses its processing route automatically. Selected references and the bounded instruction are sent through the application server to its configured third-party AI processor.

Understand the local GLB experiment

The local experiment loads an authorized GLB. With recognized common bone names it can adjust the head and arms, apply preset poses, and capture a transparent PNG back into the 2D thumbnail. Universal R6/R15 compatibility remains unverified.

Export the thumbnail, not just a cutout

Check the Avatar against the game setting, keep the click promise readable at small size, and export the complete PNG or JPG. The final human review should confirm that the image represents the actual game.
